A call for action

Membres du Groupe de travail provincial sur la problématique du poids (GTPPP)

The GTPPP is a multidisciplinary group made up of various professionals from the scientific community, the government, the academic world, the public health network and the community at large that wishes to address weight related problems and proposed potential actions that can help reduce their frequency of occurrence and their magnitude. In 2003, the GTPPP presented its vision in a document titled Les problèmes reliés au poids au Québec Un appel à l’action (Weight related problems in Québec A call for action). With this report, the GTPPP completed the second half of its mandate and made five key recommendations that urgently need to be implemented in the Québec society to fight obesity.
